Planet Earth:
This is the planet where the majority of the series takes place. It is
the third planet from the sun in the Milky Way Galaxy, and it has
thriving life and a decent economy. Most humans are pretty weak
fighters, except for maybe Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, and some other guys.
For some reason, our planet seems to be the target of a lot of a lot of
villains, mostly because of Goku and the other Saiyans. Kid Buu
destroys it in DBZ and in DBGT, it is destroyed when no one retrieved
the Black Star Dragonballs within a year. At least every time, someone
is smart enough to wish the Earth back to its original form.
Planet Vegeta:
Originally called the Tuffle Planet,
this is the birthplace of the Saiyan race. In the beginning, it was a
planet shared by the Tuffles and the Saiyans. The Tuffles thrived in
technology and the Saiyans thrived in battle (fighting). With the
Saiyans ability to transform into "Oozaroos" (giant apes) under the
full moon, the Tuffles were completely annihilated and wiped off the
face of the planet (their "area" was destroyed because the herd of huge
apes went out of control). The Saiyans adapted their sense of
technology and the planet became known as Planet Vegeta after the
Saiyan King, Vegeta. Frieza destroyed the planet after he decided the
Saiyans were too dangerous to keep around. There were only four Saiyans
that survived all of the mass destruction.
Planet Namek:
This is the planet where the Namekian
race was born. All of its inhabitants are green, and so is most of the
land within the planet. The Namekians lived a peaceful life here until
Frieza came in search of the Dragonballs. In the end, Frieza destroyed
the Planet Namek in his efforts to defeat Goku. Luckily before it was
destroyed, all of the Namekians that Frieza and his men killed were
revived and sent back to planet Earth. And from there they were sent to
a new planet that they could live on a planet called "New" Namek.
New Namek:
After planet Namek is destroyed by Frieza, the Namekians are sent here
by the Dragonballs. It becomes their new home and is almost identical
to the original Planet Namek.
Planet Frieza:
This is the planet that is ruled by none other than the evil Frieza.
This is where his headquarters are and where he and his henchmen
(Dodoria and Zarbon) and his brother Cooler all call home.
Planet Yardrat:
This is the planet Goku lands off after his escape from the exploding
Planet Namek. His spaceship hurls out of control and he lands here. The
Yardrat people help heal Goku back to health and he also gets some
training done here as well. Here he learns to control his Super Saiyan
ability and he also learns a new technique from the Yardratians. They
teach Goku his famous Instant Transmission technique.
Planet Kanassa:
This planet was known for having telepathic powers. It was said that if
you lived there for a while you would develop the ability to see the
future. Frieza ordered Bardock and his crew to take over the planet so
that he could go there and gain the powers too see the future. Instead
Bardock received them.
Planet Meet:
This was another planet that Frieza wanted to take over. This was the
planet were Frieza betrayed Bardock' crew and slaughtered all of them.
Bardock avenged his team but then Dodoria beat him. Bardock, barely
able to walk, returned to Planet Vegeta and tried to warn the Saiyans
of Frieza's betrayal but they did not believe him. That lead to the
destruction of the Planet Vegeta.
Kami's Lookout:
This is where Kami and Mr. Popo live. Kami trains many people here. For
example, Tien, Krillin, Yajirobe, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha went up there to
train for the Saiyans's arrival.
Planet Imecka:
This is where the Z Warriors encountered a unique bunch, such as Lord
Luud, the Para Para Brothers, and more. When Pan, Trunks, and Goku were
looking for the Black Star Dragonballs, their spacecraft was
malfunctioning, so they took a pit stop there. Unfortunately for them,
many odd and cruel events happened to them and the citizens of Imecka.
